Clinical Therapist

JOB TITLE:

Clinical Therapist

Reports To:

Executive Director and Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Clinical Therapist assists clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs by means of providing therapy and support services. These will include but will not be limited to assessment, consultation, teaching, crisis intervention, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, multidisciplinary treatment planning, support services for clients and families, and discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, or a clinically related behavioral health field.

Experience:

  • At least two (2) years experience in a behavioral health setting, with demonstrated expertise in addictions treatment to include individual, family and group therapies, and crisis intervention. Must have strong family therapy skills.

Compensation:

  • Competitive wages based on experience. 2 weeks paid time off in calendar year. 401k matching after 1-year employment.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must possess an Arizona state license or be able to obtain such license within 90 days of hire: LCSW, LPC, LISAC, LMFT or licensed Psychologist. Must provide updated licensure every 2 years.

Skills Required:

  • Able to relate to and work with emotionally distressed clients and families of all ages with a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner.
  • Must possess visual and hearing acuity, and the ability to assess, document and implement actions required to meet client and family needs.
  • Must be able to deal with a high stress and high demand work environment.
  • Must be able to cope with varying and unpredictable situations tactfully with personnel, clients, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency and crisis situations in a timely and professional manner.

CORE COMPETENCY

  • Maintains required Licensure and Certifications.
  • Formulates and conducts educational, therapeutic and/or support groups.
  • Conducts individual and family therapy.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, families, multidisciplinary team members and community providers regarding client status and progress.
  • Develops an effective working relationship with clients and participating family members.
  • Demonstrates respect for client diversity (gender, age religion, culture, sexual identity/orientation and physical or mental disabilities.)
  • Ensures the psychosocial assessment is completed within 1 week of admission to the program.
  • Ensures that the treatment plan is completed in a timely manner with the client’s participation and that the plan has measureable goals, objectives and interventions unique to the client’s problems and strengths.
  • Ensures that interventions designated in the client’s treatment plan are carried out.
  • Documents Progress Notes for each therapy session and ensures placement in client file in a timely manner using the program’s accepted format.
  • Participates in and effectively contributes to multidisciplinary treatment planning and case staffings.
  • Responds to requests for case management services in a timely manner.
  • Interacts and communicates with community agencies in assessment of and service to clients.
  • Provides liaison and referral services to community agencies and appears in court when so required.
  • Assesses clients for behaviors consistent with the developmental stages and makes note of any deviation in level of functioning or cognition.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology, most current DSM, and appropriate and research based treatment techniques, and incorporates this knowledge into treatment planning.
  • Maintains knowledge of program rules, protocols, and handbooks.
  • Attends facility in-services/staff development, clinical supervision and department staff meetings.
  • Strives to maintain and improve professional competence and provides documentation of all CEU’s for office personnel file.
  • Assists in the orientation of new colleagues as requested.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support the health, wellness and recovery of our clients. Behavioral Health Technicians are actively engaged in our clients’ daily routine offering life skills and support in long term recovery. Candidates need to pass a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Background Check and have a clean driving record. Back2Basics is a drug free workplace. Outdoor Behavioral Health Guide for Adventure Programming

JOB TITLE:

Outdoor Behavioral Health Guide for Adventure Programming

 

JOB TYPE:

Job Type: 4 days a week, Friday 7 AM – Monday 5 PM

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is essential in providing support to clients with behavioral health challenges through the implementation of outdoor adventure trips and programming designed to promote mental wellness, social interaction, and personal development.

All staff at Back2Basics demonstrate common sense, good personal boundaries, judgment, effective communication skills, basic knowledge of group and experiential activities, organizational skills, ability to see the big picture, qualities of an effective team member, ability to create agreement, solution oriented problem solving and willingness to be a responsible role model demonstrating accountability. Sustaining professional conduct is a necessity. Is aligned with the vision and philosophy of Back2Basics and represents it to their department, other departments, clients and parents.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
