The biggest obstacle that could have prevented me from coming to Back2Basics would be money. I almost didn’t come because of that reason, but I found a way to make it happen. It totally has been worth it because I have grown so much from this entire program, emotionally, physically and spiritually. These three key factors have contributed to significant positive change in the time that I’ve been here. One of my favorite parts of Back2Basics that has helped me create the change the most is the ‘community’ and the alumni that always come and help the clients. This has really given me insight into not only learning to open up to others, to trust and develop friendships, but to see through the alumni that sobriety is possible and how it looks now in their ‘walk of life’. Back2Basics will help you with your relationships across the board. They will also help you feel better about yourself and get you out of the feeling that you have no reason to exist. They truly help you to turn your life around, give you a reason for being and help you to learn to love yourself and have genuine care for others as well as realizing how your actions can affect others. When it comes to overcoming financial obstacles you can see through my personal experience that it is all worth it. I would like to thank all of the staff, my peers and alumni for taking this journey with me and helping me. The ones that have helped me the most are Aaron, Ryan and Nick… thank you.
