At first I did not know what to think about the culinary classes at Back2Basics. I was slightly new to the whole concept of making cuisine foods. My usual meals consisted of quesadillas and McDonald’s. I know have a massive number of cuisine food recipes that I have learned to master thanks to Kathy. Kathy DuPrez is the Culinary and Nutrition Director and teaches the culinary program at Back2Basics and has created Kathy’s Culinary Corner (Back2Basics Launches Kathy’s Culinary Corner: https://back2basicsrecovery.com/b2b-launches-kathys-culinary-corner/). Whether it is peppered steak, fried chicken or salmon, I have learned how to create amazing cuisines and I love eating them! At first I took culinary as a joke and did not take it serious at all. As soon as I started taking culinary serious it started to get a lot more interesting.
Today we learned how to make sushi which is one of my favorite foods. I never thought I would ever be able to make cuisines like this. It was super interesting to see how it is actually made. Kathy has been making food her whole life so it is super cool to have an experienced chef like her to train us. She knows how to make most foods that we want too and I am super thankful for that. It is a super cool experience and I am thankful for the culinary program we have here at Back2Basics. It has been a wonderful experience going through this whole process and not only learning how to make great food, but eat for a healthier lifestyle.
