I had a really good time exploring the rim to rim trail of the Grand Canyon. We saw donkeys, we got lemonade and we did a whole lot of walking with all that weight. With the support of the people that I was with – they helped me when I was struggling, and for that I am extremely grateful.
On these trips I continue to learn about myself and the pace that I like to go vs. feeling that I must be pushed into doing something that I don’t want to do. That is nice for me, and the freedom that I am I haven’t imagined before.
We went to one of the remanufactured structures and that was really pretty, and had a nice view. My crew that I was with are the most supportive and challenging in support to focus on the present, and truly be myself. Although I did have a couple times where I got really angry and I wanted to thrash out and turn into the old uncooperative lazy and unwilling self. I was pushed into the right headspace with the help of staff. I said some things that I was not proud of, but things are brought to light that I need to continue to work on for my life. So that I can become the man that I am working on becoming.
It was an incredible trip, and I would not anything or any event. Thank you Back2Basics for this opportunity.
