Tom, current B2B Resident
When I arrived at Back2Basics last July, I was in one of the worst places of my life. I was struggling with extreme depression and anxiety, also a raging alcohol, pill and meth addiction. I saw no way out and life felt completely hopeless. After about a month at B2B I realized my depression and anxiety was drug induced, but while getting sober I faced new struggles in therapy and 12-step meetings. Hanging out with my new friends at B2B I was able to overcome these struggles and learn to love myself.
I always knew I had the potential to be successful and happy, but I simply could not stop using. Now I feel like I have the tools I need to be sober and live a successful life. Over all Back2Basics brought me out of a completely hopeless place, and helped me to improve my mental state. Here I have made some of the most meaningful relationships of my life. I feel hope and have tons of confidence I can be sober. I will be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail trail next April — goal I have always had, but never could imagine being able to do.
