Feeding Into Arguments

Personally, I have trouble not feeding into arguments or inappropriate conversations– something about it excites me and especially makes me feel better if I can win the argument. I think for m, it is an ego thing and I hate for people to bring my ego down. Lately I’ve been trying to let go a lot more especially when it comes to feeding into these types of subjects. It definitely is super hard to do and I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes especially if I’m triggered by the conversation I will just keep feeding and feeding into the discussion. It is very difficult for me to remove myself from those types of discussions. I’ve learned a new method to removing myself from the discussions it is called walking away. If I feel like a conversation is beginning to turn into an argument I will eventually walk away and remove myself from the conversation. It has actually worked very well for the most part. It feels good to be doing the right thing lately.
