This week we worked with the Grand Canyon Trust to build a fence meant to protect important lakes from overuse by cattle ranching. Over three days we repaired two fences. One around VT Lake and one around a mile and half lake. In order to complete the fences we had to break into smaller teams and delegate tasks to each other. As the days went on we got better and better working together and communicating. By the third day we divided into teams quickly and efficiently. We made quick work of all of the remaining tasks that needed to get done. Part of teamwork is everyone working together and no one slacking. If one person starts taking advantage, it can quickly make everybody else resentful and bring the whole team down. I was very proud of the way we all came together as a team and worked.
