Another cool aspect of 12 step meetings in wilderness, it was shown to me that while camping, back packing and even river rafting the 12 step rooms are everywhere, “when two or more are gathered.” After the hike we were able to go to a meeting about 5 minutes away from our base camp site. It was real nice because I was celebrating my 30 days of sobriety. We also signed a visitors log at the meeting with names of folks celebrating recovery from all over the country and the world. It even had names from people I know in the rooms in Flagstaff.
